To: Allan Huber "Bud" Selig, Commissioner of Baseball

Reinstate Pete Rose

Considering that Pete Rose has been banned by the Commissioner of Baseball, since August 1989 and that he admitted his failure to adhere by the rules of Baseball by gambling on his own team, has expressed his regrets and remorse for these transgressions we petition the Commission of Baseball, "Bud" Selig to reinstate Mr. Rose to Baseball which will allow him to take his rightful place in The Baseball Hall of Fame, Cooperstown, NY.

Why is this important?

Pete Rose has been banned from Baseball for Gambling on games during his career. He has admitted this and has expressed remorse repeatedly for his moral failure in this regard. The Commissioner of Baseball refuses to consider reinstatement to the game. Pete had a storied career, including holding the record for most hits by a major league player, 4,256. Reinstatement would allow Pete to take his rightful place in the Baseball Hall of Fame
