To reinstate the USPS program of hiring severely disabled veterans into the USPS. To give this program a chance to prove that severely disabled people can work along side able bodied people for the same pay.
Why is this important?
Because in 1984 I was hired into this pilot program and it was discontinued after the USPS discriminated against Fred Alcon and I for being severely disabled. We feel the severely disabled did work in Milwaukee and that this program should be fully implemented across the United States Postal Service because we showed after 18 years of working at Milwaukee's BMC, we did the job, but got blackballed from the federal government for pointing out discrimination where we saw it.
