Reinstate the Water Fee Exemption for NFPs
The Interfaith Coalition to Restore the Water Fee Exemption for Religious Institutions respecfully requests that City of Chicago Budget Chair Carrie Austin present the amended ordinance restoring the water fee exemption to NFPs at City Council for a vote in order to allow NFPs to continue to provide services to their community.
Why is this important?
In January 2012, Chicago City Council removed the existing water fee exemption for not-for-profit organizations (NFPs). The Interfaith Coalition to Restore the Water Fee Exemption for Religious Institutions is working to restore this accommodation for qualifying NFPs to allow NFPs to continue to provide services to their community.
