The American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) has authored three model bills that call for states to repeal federal law. As member of that organization, we call upon you to ask ALEC to remove these bills from their books.
Why is this important?
Nullification allows states to repeal federal laws. For example, a state could decide to repeal the portion of the Civil Rights Act dealing with private facilities. The American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) has placed a number of model bills supporting this principle on its books.
