Reject the NDAA in Alabama
They say this Act is designed to fight terrorists. You don't defeat terrorists by adopting their tactics. I will be faithful to my calling to stand against these predators who would sell their birthright for a mess of pottage.
Please, create and pass a bill, just like other states have, to prevent any state agency, employee or military member from aiding an agency of the US Armed Forces in the conduct of the investigation, prosecution, or detention of a United States citizen in violation of the United States Constitution, Constitution of Alabama, or any Alabama law or regulation.

Why is this important?
On December 31, 2011, President Barack Obama signed the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2012 into law. This Act would allow for the detainment of U.S. Citizens, even in times of non-emergency. Several states, including Virginia, Utah, and New York are now creating laws to protect the average U.S. citizen from the overreaching aspects of this law that infringe on our Constitutional rights.
