Release the Democratic memo
We deserve the truth about the Russia-Trump investigation, and Trump’s refusal to release the Democratic rebuttal to the Nunes memo is his latest attempt to hide all the facts from us.
The DOJ must work with Intelligence Committee staff of both parties to make any legitimate redactions to the minority memo as soon as possible and then release it.

Why is this important?
In a clearly partisan move that reeks of double standards, President Donald Trump announced that he would block the release of the Democratic rebuttal to the “Nunes memo” that tried to smear the investigation into Russian interference in our elections.
The House Intelligence Committee’s unanimous vote in support of releasing the Democratic memo makes it clear that there are many facts that have not been shared with the public. And the President’s rationale for blocking it apparently didn’t apply when he decided to release its GOP counterpart.
We can’t afford to let the Russia investigation become a partisan political football, but that’s exactly what Trump and his defenders in Congress want.
The American people deserve real transparency, and to be able to trust our civic institutions. That’s why it’s so important we demand that the Democratic memo be released.
Trump had no issue releasing the Nunes memo, which was an obvious partisan hack job, meant to derail Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Donald Trump’s campaign. His strategy failed.
His decision to halt the release of the Democratic memo is an obvious attempt to hide the truth behind Russia’s attack on our democracy and we cannot let him continue to try to obstruct the Russia investigation.
