To: President Donald Trump

Remember who elected you, Mr. President -- hint: it was not the suburban swingers.

Dear President Obama,
We are delighted with your re-election and the other results from this wonderful election. While I am a strong supporter of yours, I am worried that you will once again be too accommodating to the Republicans. You have a strong mandate to move forward in a way that reflects who elected you. We are women, people of color and some enlightened white men. Don't let us down again by acting as if you were elected by undecided voters who neeed constant assurance that you are a moderate who will reach across an aisle that already leans so far to the right to achieve compromise with those who have no desire to compromise. We who elected you believe in higher taxes for the rich, healthcare for all, access to educational opportunities for all, investment in infrastructure and clean energy, support for research and development and a government that helps build a stronger, more equitable, better educated nation for all of us.

Please use the power and mandate our support has given you.

Why is this important?

Ensuring that President Obama governs in a way that reflects who elected him, carries proudly forward the mandate we have given him and refrain from compromising too much
