This is a petition for the removal of the covered pavilion and placement of secure fencing to be placed on the west side of Verbena Park located in the City and County of Denver, State of Colorado. These requests are being made to Denver Parks and Recreation due to individuals consuming and selling drugs at the covered pavilion and the neighboring apartment complex to the west of the park. We ask the City of Denver to move forward with both requested items in order to provide a safe and drug free park for residents to enjoy.
Why is this important?
Due to individuals consuming and selling illegal drugs on the west side of Verbena Park in Denver, Colorado at the covered pavilion which impacts the neighborhood and those wishing to enjoy Verbena Park without encountering such criminal activity. We wish to have the covered pavilion removed and placement of secure fencing installed on the west side of Verbena Park.
