Remove Cannabis/Hemp from Schedule 1 of CSA
Mr. President, Remove cannabis from Schedule 1 of the Controlled Substances Act, as there is growing scientific proof of the multiple medicinal qualities of the plant. As President, you can write the proclamation to achieve this, and welcome hemp back as one of both our country's and also mankind's oldest resources.
Why is this important?
The plant utilized by mankind for thousands of years was demonized in a propaganda campaign that has cost society greatly and in many ways for 75 years, despite growing scientific evidence of its healthful benefits. To continue lying to the public by suggesting no medicinal benefit is at the least, morally corrupt. To be arresting patients should be criminal. Please fix this mess with one simple step. Remove from Schedule 1 at the least. End the prohibition and you might still win in November.
