Remove Hennepin County Sheriff Stanek: Malfeasance in Aiding Police at Standing Rock
We, as Hennepin County Residents, should be outraged that our Sheriff is acting as a mercenary in unjust and unneeded actions against the Standing Rock Sioux Nation. For his actions, which have violated the civil rights of unarmed protesters, he should be removed from office.
Why is this important?
Sheriff Stanek has committed malfeasance in his duties as Sheriff of Hennepin Country, MN by sending deputies and vehicles in response to the dubious Emergency Assistance request from the North Dakota Governor and Sheriffs. These North Dakota Leaders falsified claims of an emergency. The participation of Hennepin County Sheriff Stanek violated his duties and committed Malfeasance as defined by MN statute 211C.01 by acting..."substantially outside the scope of the authority of the officer and that substantially infringes on the rights of any person or entity."
