We need to put an end to the development of the Trump International Hotel in Washington, DC. The building that carries the name of Donald Trump does not belong in the most powerful city in the free world anymore than the man himself belongs in the White House.

When citizens from around the globe visit Washington, D.C., they ought to see true symbols of American democracy. Monuments that bear the names of real defenders of liberty deserve to be viewed. The name Donald Trump does not belong anywhere near the monuments and memorials that carry the names of Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln, Roosevelt, or King.
