Renee Ellmers support the Voting Rights Amendment Act of 2014

Representatives Jim Sensenbrenner (R-WI), John Conyers (D-MI) and Senator Patrick Leahy (D-VT) introduced new legislation—the Voting Rights Amendment Act of 2014—that would strengthen the Voting Rights Act. Representative Ellmers, help protect the most fundamental right of every American citizen, the right to vote, by standing with your colleagues on both sides of the aisle and support this bill by cosponsoring it.

Why is this important?

Although I have not been personally affected by these changes to the Voting Right Act, I believe the most fundamental right of all American citizens, the right to vote, should be protected as fiercely as life itself. Voting in the United States should be facilitated, encouraged and celebrated at every level of government and by every American citizen. That is why I am asking you sign my petition calling on Renee Ellmers to support this important piece of legislation.
