Rent Justification
Passing of this bill will stop the elderly of this state from having to abandon their homes that they have lived in for over 20 years because of the park owners' greed and raising the rents so high that it does not become affordable housing.
Why is this important?
We have been trying for years to pass a rent justification bill in the state of Delaware. This bill has just passed the Senate by a 11 to 9 vote and now is moving on to the House. This bill will give residents who live in manufactured homes on leased land the ability to pay a reasonable rent and still have the park operators be able to make a profit. Please help our seniors from having to walk away from their homes due to high rents.
