We really need you to co-sponsor and vigorously support the Voting Rights Amendment Act of 2014. Americans' voting rights have been whittled away, and we need to reverse that trend. This Act will help towards that end.
Why is this important?
I'm starting this petition because I think it's reprehensible that the act of voting is being made more difficult for so many Americans. Voting should be as easy as falling off a log, so that the maximum number of Americans will do it. That is what democracy is based on, and putting up more barriers to voters is antithetical to democracy. The Voting Rights Amendment Act will help to restore some of the rights that have been under attack. Fight for that, now!
