We call on Rep. Dave Camp to tell the truth to the American people: President Obama is working with Republican Governors to try new approaches in moving people off of welfare and into good jobs.
Why is this important?
Michigan Representative to the US House, Rep. Dave Camp (Republican), is attacking President Obama because President Obama granted waivers to the Republican Governors of a handful of states to allow them to try out new approaches to moving people off welfare and into the workforce. President Obama specifically stated in the waivers that they will only be allowed if the result is the movement of more people from welfare to work. Rep. Dave Camp's political attacks are not just misleading, but they fly in the face of the outcome that he purports to be seeking.
