Conservatives all over the country are moving to restrict the people's right to vote because of the Supreme Court decision last summer to gut the Voting Rights Act. Mr. McClintock, as a leader in the Republican Party, you can not let these anti-patriots continue to disgrace your party and our nation. The best, and probably only way for you to stop them is to support HR.3899, the Voting Rights Amendment Act of 2014.
Because the early version of this VRA Act is weak, we hereby request that you vote FOR amendments which strengthen voter protections and AGAINST amendments that weaken voter protections. Lastly, when it does come to the floor for a final vote, we hereby request that you VOTE TO PASS HR3899. Like a true patriot.

Why is this important?

Election Day is the one day that we are all equal. It doesn't matter it you are rich or poor; black, white, brown, or Asian; when we step into that booth on voting day, we all have the same amount of power.
We need a strong Voter Rights Act to protect that power. We know that too often politicians are trying to manipulate the vote for their own gain, and we need to make sure that voters of color, women voters, young voters, the disabled, and ALL VOTERS are protected.
