Why is this important?
The U.S. Supreme Court’s decision in Citizens United v. FEC, permitting unlimited corporate spending on elections, is ruining our democracy. Money is not speech, and human beings -- not corporations -- are persons entitled to constitutional rights. We need government of, by, and for the people -- not government for the highest bidder.
