Rep. Nunes: We urge you to enthusiastically support the Voting Rights Amendment Act of 2014 and thereby help to keep our democracy strong and to maintain our position as the democratic model for the world.
Why is this important?
The stronger the protection of voting rights, the more likely people will feel connected to our nation's leaders and ideals. Weakening the Voting Rights Act is a sneaky, juvenile attempt to win elections by reducing the numbers of people who might disagree or vote for the other side. The new bill hopefully will reverse this trend.
