Why is this important?
The Voting Right Act passed years ago is one of the greatest pieces of civil rights legistation Congress has ever passed. For some unknown reason last year the Supreme Court weaken critical provisions of the previous bill. Now Congress can restore those critical protections by passing this important bill. Rep. Scott Rigell should support this effort by cosponsoring and fight hard for this effort.
