Please stand up and express the progressive and democratic beliefs of Wisconsin, and sponsor the 2014 Amendment to the Voting Rights Act. Repair the damage done last year to the legislation that is vital to American democracy!
Why is this important?
This is not (yet) a post-racial society, and ALL citizens deserve to have their voting rights protected. The slice&dice in the 2013 renewal of the Voting Rights Act was a travesty of Congressional responsibility and a tragedy for American democracy. The 2014 Amendment WILL repair the Voting Rights Act! Wisconsin is a state with a long history of progressive legislation that protected the rights of ALL its citizens -- please stand up and act like a Wisconsinite: Support the REPAIR AMENDMENT!
