Rep. Tom Cole: Support Voting Rights
Last year the Supreme Court eliminated important protections for voters across the country. Please support or cosponsor a new bill in Congress that can fix the Voting Rights Act and restore these protections.
Why is this important?
The Voting Rights Act is one of the most important pieces of civil rights legislation Congress has ever passed. I am African American and was only 10 years old during the struggles that many died for to get this legislation passed. I grew up under the protection of this bill and ask that, right now, Congress again strengthen the provisions for my granddaughter and other young people as they grow up. Rep. Tom Cole should support this effort by cosponsoring and fighting for a strong bill.
