I am asking my U.S. Congressman to support the new Voting Rights Act Amendment ahead of the 2014 elections. It is vitally important to protect the rights of many Americans who still face voter disenfranchisement in the country!
Why is this important?
Many of the restrictions state legislatures across the country are enacting are a direct violation of both the spirit and letter of the U.S. Constitution. I, too, have been affected by the Voter ID/supression laws here in the Lone Star state. Our fellow Texans and Americans deserve better!
