Please repeal in its entirety 15 USC § 7902 - Prohibition on bringing of qualified civil liability actions in Federal or State court. We regulate all products and hold their manufacturers liable for deaths caused by misuse or unsafe products, except gun manufacturers. It is time to require all guns manufactured in the US or imported to the US to have bio-lock triggers making it impossible for anyone other than the legal owner to operate the weapon.
Why is this important?
Much has been debated around gun safety legislation. All pending legislation attempts to control the acts of individuals while none pursues the manufacturers. I want Congress to repeal the 2005 law immunizing gun manufacturers from product liabilty.
