Congress must repeal the special tax laws that apply only to churches, religious organizations and ministers. Religious organizations must register as a regular 501(C)(3) if they want tax exemption.
Why is this important?
The special tax laws violate the 1st amendment,. the special laws relieve RO's from filing tax returns and all transparency. Since a RO doesn't even have to file for this designation there is no way to know how many exist or if money is being collected by or used to fund terrorist organizations. All religious organizations should register as regular 501(c)(3) non profits if they want to avoid paying taxes. There must be transparency.
