Repeal Title X , Subtitle D of the AUMF of National Defense Act. This portion of the law is written so broadly as to allow for the arrest, incarnation, and detention at Guantanamo Bay without due process. Terrorism could be defined as Occupy Wall Street protests, endangering the citizens right to insist government address grievances .
Why is this important?
This section of the National Defense Act allows an unprecedented loss of civil liberties for American citizens. The ability of the military to detain and hold an American to GITMO without due process is a dangerous act. and a violation of the freedoms our country holds dear.
