In addition to the local interest in fracking here in Lasalle County, the oil and gas industries are looking hungrily at the Southern portion of Illinois, hoping to dramatically expand fracking in at least 17 counties.

Why is this important?
Although I have not personally been subjected to the ill effects of fracking, I am concerned about the environment, the quality of our water supply and especially the effect on climate change.
Fracking is a dangerous procedure, one that each and every individual should be concerned about.
