Republicans come to the table in good faith
We, the people, having been fed erroneous misinformation about Friedman economics and the value of unregulated markets, demand that the Republican House of Representatives actively find a pragmatic middle ground to address inequality in our tax code, and to work with President Obama and the Democratic Senate to raise taxes on the wealthy and on corporations; close tax loopholes and unjustified exemptions, and empower the US Treasury and IRS to work towards a most just society, with benefit to ALL CITIZENS. Join in this concerted effort and begin to stand for the Common Good, a middle-ground that moves us forward, or face concerted re-election and/or recall efforts in 2014.
Why is this important?
Extend middle-class tax cuts; raise taxes on the 5%; re-write the tax code to close tax loopholes and unjustified exemptions and credits that prevent the US Treasury from collecting more tax revenue from the richest Americans and from corporations.
