Repudiate the National Defense Authorization Act

We the people of the United States of America reject the provisions contained within the National Defense Authorization Act that infringe upon our civil liberties. It is not for the government to decide unilaterally without trial who is or is not a terrorist. This is a matter solely within the purview of our court system. This authorization is a grave assault on the fundamental civil liberties enshrined within the Constitution and guaranteed for all. These liberties have been hard fought for and hard won by mankind with precedent as far back as the Magna Carta and the Writ of Habeas Corpus. We demand that these unlawful provisions be rescinded immediately. We also demand that all prisoners detained by the United States of America either here or abroad, be lawfully declared in custody, granted access to legal counsel and accorded a lawfully adjudicated trial in a court of their peers.

Why is this important?

The National Defense Authorization Act contains language which allows the United States Government to detain prisoners without trial.
