Request Governor Walker Sign Grant for Exchange Provisions of the Health Care Grant
Request Governor Walker to enroll Wisconsin in the Health Insurance Exchange Provisions of PPACA (Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010).
Why is this important?
The US Department of Health and Human Services is awarding Grants to help states build Health Care Exchanges with other states. Wisconsin's Governor Walker has refused to participate, in hopes that Obama's Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010 will be overturned by Republicans winning the November election. Wisconsin is one of 16 states with Republican Governor's trying to block implementation. Wisconsite's health care is at risk. We risk losing Senior Care, an affordable Medicare Part D alternative, funding for Badger Care for low income families and those who have insurable health conditions, and more.
Personally, I have few low-cost prescription drugs and am enrolled in Senior Care for $30 a year. Medicare Part D will cost me substantially more if Senior Care is dropped.
