Requesting the Resignation of Davidson NC Mayor John Woods
We the Citizens of Davidson and surrounding towns ask for You resignation or we request a recall!
Why is this important?
On June 8, 2016, Mayor John Woods traveled to Raleigh, N.C., and scheduled a secret meeting with NC State Senators Berger, Tarte and Curtis, and several others. This meeting was to advocate for the 1-77 Toll Lane Project and was in direct opposition of HB-954.
Mr. Wood's action was illegally going against resolutions passed on behalf of 90% of the Citizens Against the Toll Lanes Project, and the Town Comissioners.
Mr. Woods, knowingly and deliberately, stated false information about the support of The project to Senator Berger and went against thousands of his constituents whom he was aware have researched , signed petitions, sent countless emails to town, county, state legislative, and executive council, who have donated monies for legal representation in lawsuits, and who have invested their personal time to actively work to oppose the project and have tirelessly fought to have the project cancelled.
These citizens are requesting for Mayor John Woods to submit a written letter Of resignation, effective immediately, or a recall will be submitted to the NCGA on behalf of these constituents
