Require Hospitals to Educate Parents about SIDS

Hospitals need to educate parents of newborn babies about the increased risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) for premature and/or low birth-weight babies. The health care system needs to inform parents about up-to-date preventive measures. SIDS EXISTS/EDUCATE YOURSELF!

Why is this important?

My 4-month old granddaughter, Harvey Nicole King, laid down to take a nap and never woke up. She was a seemingly perfectly healthy baby. This is a devastating loss. Every hour of every day another baby dies. We must do something to save these precious lives.
We want to ensure hospitals provide more information about SIDS to parents of preemies who are often of low-weight at birth. We want to encourage everyone to read about up-to-date crib death prevention measures and follow the safety precautions!
