To limit misinformation, we must require "political debate" moderators to express instant feedback for inappropriate answers to their questions. They could wave iridescent orange paddles labeled "Off topic", "Irrelevant" or "Content-Free". Perhaps major debates warrant an independent panel (?politifact.com) to judge "true", "half-true", or "false" with an Olympic style 9 to 0 point system.
Why is this important?
I am sick and tired of "political debates" that allow politicians to continually waste our time, regurgitating "talking points", rather than answering the questions. Moderators should have an iridescent orange paddle to judge the speakers response as "Off topic", "irrelevant", "content-free" and perhaps a independent panel (?politifact.com) can judge "untrue" also!
