Rescind Tax-Exempt Status to Politically-Active Churches

Recognize the separation of church and state and rescind the tax-exempt status of politically-active churches.

Why is this important?

Churches are tax exempt as long as they remain politically neutral. That's not happening. Opposition to gay rights, a woman's right to choose, religious plurality; scientific findings relevant to evolution, global warming, and human experience come primarily from churches and religious organizations. As long as they make money teaching and preaching these doctrines, they should be subject to federal and state taxation.
