Rescind the outrageous pay raise for the Congress. Millions of citizens are suffering because Congress has accomplished nearly nothing on behalf of the nation because of ideological politics. Members do not deserve to be rewarded for poor leadership, abysmal performance, and bad behavior.
Why is this important?
The 1.5% pay raise given to Congress is a travesty. Members of Congress barely work half a week. Due to their entrenched ideological positions and intranigence, they accomplish nearly nothing for the nation. They do not deserve an increase in salaries.
