Resist RNC 2020
Charlotte is a diverse city that denounces white-nationalism and the inexcusable behaviors that Republican leaders are engaging in. With the ever-increasing number of hate crimes committed under this administration, we must draw the line and rescind the invitation to host the RNC 2020 in Charlotte
Why is this important?
Hey y'all, my name is Kyla Knight and I am a genderfluid dyke with a disability. My wife, Dianna, is an Afro-Latina Big Data Engineer at a leading firm. We volunteer within the refugee & homeless LGBT youth communities in Charlotte and know that there is no middle ground on denouncing white nationalism.
We believe unequivocally that you matter, your physical safety matters, and that your family *both chosen and biological* matters. We specifically mean that Black Lives Matter, Latinx Lives Matter, First Nation Lives Matter, Asian Lives Matter, and that ALL families belong together. We celebrate Sherriff McFadden’s tenure and believe that no sum of money is worth our police department’s safety. Now is the time to unite.
It is our duty to protect our community; Charlotteans are smart, we are humble, and we are kind, but this year we must draw the line.
Please sign the #ResistRNC2020 petition and share to all of your networks both digitally, but most importantly irl (in real life)
