Responsibility with Rights Amendment
The pernicious influence of large political donations by interest groups, corporations, and unions has corrupted American politics, making it impossible to address many of the most important issues facing our nation. We hereby petition you to support the following amendment to the United States Constituion:
Section 1. Congress and the legislatures of the several states may make laws regulating and limiting the political activity of associations of individuals that receive under the law special privileges of reduced liabilities, special tax status, or anonymity, for their members or for the association as a whole.
Section 2. The provisions of Section 1 shall not apply to political associations that specifically support individual political candidates or groups of candidates, but congress may limit the anonymity of donations to or by such organizations.
Section 3. Within 6 months of ratification of this amendment, the supreme court of the United States shall review all decisions relating to the political rights of corporations and similar associations and shall issue a reinterpretation of court rulings based on this amendment.
Section 4. From the date six months after the ratification of this amendment, all laws concerning the political activities of associations shall be considered enabling legislation. Absent such legislation, no association of individuals given special privileges under law may spend any funds on political activity except as provided in Section 2 of this amendment.

Why is this important?
Under Supreme Court rulings corporations, unions, PACS, and other associations are allowed to throw as much money in political campaigns as they like, corrupting our political processes. Politicians are in a race for these funds, and in the process they trample our rights. We need an amendment to the US constitution to limit the activities of such groups.
