African elephant populations are dwindling fast. The U.S. must respect their endangered status and forbid the importation of elephant hunting trophies from Africa.
Why is this important?
A Remington Research Group poll in December 2017 found that a large majority of Americans favor banning imports of elephant and lion trophies, 78% to 15%. By political party, 76 percent of Republicans, 84 percent of Democrats, and 75 percent of non-partisan voters favor a ban.
