Restore Competition and freedom of Access to Markets

When all are of us are free to apply our imagination and energy to bettering ourselves by creating and selling competitive products and services, it benefits us all. This petition proposes legislation that will applying progressive fees, “rent payments, that rise with time”, to pay for the lucrative individual exemptions from competition that patents provide, Americans could thereby redirect a gradually rising portion of the wealth created by patent protection to fully funding free post secondary education for all.

Why is this important?

By applying progressive patent fees, to fully funding free post secondary education for all, America could appropriately fund post secondary public education for all, greatly expanding the talent pool our economy now depends upon. It would at the same time, more rapidly drive knowledge into the public domain, make Americans more competitive, lower the barriers to market entry for new US entrepreneurs, add more product choices and restore broader competition in both domestic and global markets
