Restore General Assistance to the Most Needy
2012 is not the time to make life more difficult for individuals but assist them in maintaining a decent quality of life however these proposed cuts will surely make thousands suffer. By signing this petition we hope to make the Governor reconsider these massive cuts.
Why is this important?
The Governor of Penna. has and is proposing to cut general assistance which means eliminating cash assistance to 67,000 of the most in need of that miminal help. These are the individuals or suffer from a disability like mental illness, substance abuse, homeless and most of all living below the poverty line.
