Restore Medi-Cal dental coverage in California

For somewhere between $75 million and $130 million annually (less than 0.1% of our state budget), we can restore affordable dental access to over 300,000 Californians annually. This issue is amazingly bipartisan—both Democrats and Republicans support the restoration of these funds, and it's just the Governor holding it back at this point.

Why is this important?

The lack of adult dental care in California has undermined the state’s healthcare infrastructure. Children’s dental disease, especially among the poor, is at epidemic levels in the state, according to the United States Surgeon General. My mother is a disabled Medi-Cal recipient, and the restoration of these funds would allow her to see the dentist again.
