We are petition that the name Everglades Middle School be restored in honor of the late Rita Devaughn who was slain by the alleged drunk driver William Dandy.
Why is this important?
In November 1994, Ella Rita Devaughn, was killed in a car accident caused by William Dandy (“Dandy”). Today, we would like to remove William Dandy's name from the middle school and restore the former name, Everglades Middle School, in honor of Rita Devaughn.
