Why is this important?
Last year the Supreme Court weakened one of the most critical Civil Rights Legislation the Voting Rights Act. In 2014 our voting rights are still in danger and we need the Voting Rights Act to be stronger-not weaker then ever.
Now is the time for Rep Tonko to take a stand and fight for a strong bill by becoming a co-sponsor of the Voting Rights Amendment Act of 2014.
