I propose that the House and Senate receive Social Security payments upon losing or retiring from office, using the same calculations used for the voting public. I also propose that their health insurance be Medicare, with all the restrictions and benefits that the voting public receive.
Why is this important?
It's time to revamp the amount of money that our elected representative receive as compensation for services rendered. Every year, they vote themselves wages and medical insurance that is not available to the general public. They then try to cut Social Security and Medicare payments to the voters.
