Resolve that the California Department of Housing and Urban Development write a letter to enable co-operative owners to engage in reverse mortgages.
Why is this important?
For several years HUD has had the legislation to enable reverse mortgage. However, they still haven't written the "letter" to enable it for Co-Ops. They have enabled it for condominiums, but co-ops have been neglected.
