Reverse the law of slaughtering horses for human consumption.
Protect the animals right. Say no to the slaughtering of horses for consumption. Horses have been since the beginning of time the trusted companions of men, at war, in the field, for pleasure. Horses are life savers for children in general and handicapped, or trouble ones. Their sensitivity, grace, power and beauty have mesmerized our imagination. This law allow greed to kill healthy animals. In North America we do not eat horses. Their meat will me sent to Europe and other foreign countries. What a shame, as if we didn't have enough with the killing of the cows! In a society highly technological and computerized like ours seating all day long, we certainly cannot justify this excess of animal protein consumption, leading eventually to numerous serious diseases. Also horses with their tight multiple vaccination schedule (twice a year), are improper to end up on our tables without health risks.
This law was passed without creating a sufficient awareness among the public, which is anti-democratic, it needs to be overturned. We are in the twenty first century, the acceleration of the evolution requires a lighter diet. People in America suffers from so many diseases (cancer, diabetes, stroke, renal failure,etc) largely because their diet.
And have you thought about the dreaded fear of such a kind and sensitive animal approaching the slaughter house? Who are we? Barbarians? The way we treat our animals is an indicative of our compassion, because that's one of the gift of the animals on the planet: their innocence has the power of touching and opening the darkest and hardest heart. Successful programs with dogs have been used in prison for this specific purpose. What more can be said than action to be taken?
The world is upside down because people have lost the connection with their heart. To restore our dignity and take responsibility, it's starts with simple things like this, caring for our planet. Have you ever imagined what this world would be without the presence of the animals, without the beauty of nature where we renew ourselves after a long journey, or a week of work? I can't.
The ones in power have been sworn to represent people and serve them. Please listen, there is more wisdom in the streets than in the capitol hills or in corporate interest's hands. Those who protect the small and the needy will always hear the whisper of the divine and the joy abide their heart.
