Reverse the Tiahrt Amendment and allow the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms to do its job.
Why is this important?
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms is the organization empowered to monitor gun sales and to enforce our current gun laws. However, its hands are tied due to a 10-year-old amendment titled the "Tiahrt Amendment," which essentially restricts the ATF from doing any monitoring, oversight, or enforcement of gun laws. This reversal will help the country prevent illegal sales, monitor background checks effectively and enforce the current laws.
