Revocation of Jamaican Food and Liquor business license

Victory! The creator of this petition declared the campaign a success. You can still sign the petition to show support.

This petition is in support the revocation of Jamaican Food and Liquor license. Citizens living, working, recreation and traveling through the community consider Jamaican Food and Liquor to be a menacing business within the community. We ask that the Honorable Judge hearing this case revoke the license of Jamaican Food and Liquor, so that law-abiding citizens of the community would no longer have to witness drugs deals, alcohol intoxicated individuals loitering out in front of the business from sun-up through late hours of the night. Children, elderly, and law-abiding citizen, have complained to the police, and the previous and present Alderman for years. We ask that you revoke the license of the business owner to do business in this community. His business is not wanted by the overwhelming majority of people in the community.

Why is this important?

Jamaican Food and Liquor has for years acted as a refuge for drug dealing, has become the leading contributor to public intoxication, and is the most menacing business in within the 4th Ward community. The end of Jamaican Food and Liquor is now beginning. On the 12th of January, 2012, a hearing will be held to decide whether or Jamaican Food and Liquor will be allowed to keep their business license. This petition will be presented the hearing officer on behalf of the community. Please sign, so that we can shut this menacing business down once and for all.
