Any organization that consistently ignores the rules of law and abuses it's position within our communities must be held accountable for it's actions. The child abuse scandal is a systemic and pervasive culture within the Catholic Church. It refused to comply with the independent 2014 UN investigative committee's recommendations. “The Committee is gravely concerned that the Holy See has not acknowledged the extent of the crimes committed, has not taken the necessary measures to address cases of child sexual abuse and to protect children, and has adopted policies and practices which have led to the continuation of the abuse by and the impunity of the perpetrators...”. The Catholic Church leadership has a culture of aiding and abetting child molesters; all while enjoying the benefits of its tax exempt status.
