Right-wing Union-buster Rahm Emanuel Should Not Speak At the DNC

Rahm Emanuel should not be addressing the Democratic National Convention at a time when, as Mayor of Chicago, he is fighting against public school teachers who want a fair contract. Emanuel, who takes money from and regularly meets with big donors to other anti-union politicians like Scott Walker and Mitt Romney, has no place at the convention for a party that claims to stand with workers.

Why is this important?

On Tuesday night, Rahm Emanuel, the Mayor of Chicago, is scheduled to speak at the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte. This is a slap in the face to the thousands of Chicago public school teachers currently fighting for a fair contract in the face of an aggressive pro-corporate "reform" agenda pushed by Emanuel and his administration.
