RNC Spokesperson: GOP PLAN "SAME AS BUSH"

To Republicans in Congress:

Hi, guys. Just a reminder, in case you forgot (...or did you think We The People did?):

Bush's economic plan resulted in the WORST record of job creation of any administration in U.S. history.

It took Bush EIGHT YEARS to create just 1.9 million jobs.

(Would you like some contrast? The Obama administration has already more than DOUBLED that, with over 4 million private sector jobs created in the last 2 years alone.)

Under Bush's economic agenda, from 2001 to 2009, growth in investment, GDP, and employment all posted their WORST performance of any post-war expansion; monthly job growth was the WORST since 1945; household income growth was in the NEGATIVE for the first time since 1967, and the debt and deficit exploded—in fact, Bush's failed tax cuts for the rich by itself is still the NUMBER ONE contributor to the U.S. deficit.

By the end of 2008, America was losing over 750,000 jobs EVERY MONTH. Corporations, who are at all-time high profits, continue to lay off thousands of hardworking Americans, while using the WELFARE you give them to stuff billions of taxpayer's dollars into their CEO's pockets.

And now—

You not only ADMIT that you want to regress to the catastrophe of Bush's economic agenda, but you expect us to allow you to RAISE TAXES on the POOR and the MIDDLE CLASS—the Americans who were hurt the MOST by your failed plutocratic agenda—in order to continue Bush's policy of handing WELFARE TO MILLIONAIRES? Well, that's just fascinating.

One word: NO.

Signed,

The American People

Why is this important?

Last week, the Republican National Committee's specialty media secretary ADMITTED that the Republican Party's economic platform In 2012 will be the SAME AS IT WAS DURING THE BUSH YEARS.

"I think it's that program - just updated."

ARE THEY KIDDING?

We hereby call on ALL AMERICANS to say just ONE WORD to Republicans in Congress:

"NO."

...and to remind the Republicans that America is a Democracy—NOT a plutocracy—and that they work for US.
